Welcome to the inaugural post of the weekly sports column, BALLIN’This has been a crazy busy week in sports, especially the weekend the beginning of the Major League Baseball season, the Men’s and Women’s NCAA Final Four, the race to the playoffs in the NBA and NHL, the upcoming NFL Draft, just to name a few… Let’s see where do I start?NCAA made history as all 4 number 1 ranked teams made it to the Final Four for the first time. Saturday, Kansas defeats UCLA, earning first trip to the national championship in 20 years. Memphis destroys North Carolina. Both coaches seeking their first NCAA title tonight on ESPN. Kansas and Memphis shock the world with their double digit domination over their highly favored oppenents. Kansas will need to find an answer for Memphis’ supersized guards, CDR and Rose if they want to win the national championship. CDR (Chris Douglas-Roberts) 6’-7” and Derrick Rose 6’-3” are running thru this tournament like no backcourt since Rip Hamilton and Khalid El-Amin led Connecticut to the title in 1999.
