Scrilla and A Game Hot Single “Freak”
Monday, June 16th, 2008

Atlanta residents, Scrilla and A-Game met as children running with the same pack in their Ben Hill neighborhood. They both attended Westlake high school and enjoyed making music. Scrilla was known for his lyrical beat downs and A-Game for his tact to mix lyrics with harmony. They would later go on to endure the trials and tribulations that come with growing up in Atlanta’s Westside and develop the tenacity it takes to follow your dreams.

Scrilla is a lyrical genius having penned rhymes on projects from super producer, Nitti, rappers Paper Boi and Gucci Mane and Grand Hustle’s new artist J.R. Money. He has appeared on mix-tapes by industry heavyweights like DJ Sense, L.O.D, DJ Holiday and DJ Frog. Furthermore, Scrilla won the 2007 BMI Unsigned Hip Artist Showcase with a little help from his friend A-Game who sang the hook on “Spend Some Change in the Club” and “You and You.” (more…)

Greg Street on Wendy Williams
Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

Greg Street says JD is like his little brother.  The sibling rivalry between the two seems to be simmering.  They both aren’t seeing eye to eye right now on the roles of the DJ.  Greg Street was invited on the Wendy Williams Show earlier this week to discuss the video where he calls JD out for being fake.  Greg explains to Wendy Williams that he is a radio personality but he’s also a cutting, scratching, turntable yielding DJ with a ton of records at his crib.  I can see where he could be offended by JD saying the DJ is Dead.  The audio was pulled from a post by Sandra Rose.

[MURDER] Lil Mama Killed Lil Wayne’s “Millie”
Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

Lil_Mama_Lip_Gloss.jpg lil mama image by janai1234

I didn’t know so many people had jumped on Bangladesh’s infectious beat Milli but Necole Bitchie posted several rappers attempts - Jada Kiss, Papoose, the Game, Cassidy and of course Jay-Z flipping it with his rendition “Billie” - but she said Lil Mama ripped it and after hearing Lil Mama’s 5 minute rant I didn’t listen to any of the others. Lil Mama might be around for a little while. Hip Pop is born!!!

Killer Mike Album June 17th

Already Famous Spotlight

Killer Mike will drop his album on SF Based SMC Recordings. I heard a few of the songs from his upcoming release and the songs are Killer Mike at his best. His lyrics are always raw and uncut with a visual depiction of any hood in the USA. However, his disdain for the treatment of the disadvantaged which he wears on his sleeve is exemplary.

Save his release date…June 17th

Click Here to check out Killer Mike on Myspace and hear his hit single “Be 2 Sides”

Album Release Party coming soon check back for more information!!!

Super Producer Bangladesh made this track for Lil Wayne. He had the opportunity to sell it before Wayne heard it but he refused to and thanks to his good friend Shanelle passing the track to Wayne, the 2nd single to the highly anticipated Carter III album was born.
